Pouring concrete in first cow alley.

  1. I'm related to small family farmers, and saw my grandparents give up on milk production when I was a child. My uncle still raises beef cattle and is in his late 60's or early 70's.
I just read an article in The Lutheran about your farm, and seeing that you "bristle over criticism of mass-production agriculture" compelled me to make one comment. If all "mass-production agriculture" learns to do it responsibly and with respect for the land, as your farm appears to have done, I think we that are leery of large-scale livestock farming would be much less concerned. Kudos.

  2. I was looking for a way to be in touch and couldn't find it. I am starting a small farm outside of Gettysburg and was wondering if you all had manure available. We are trying to find a good manure source to add nutrients to the land. I hope to hear from you.
    Thank you,
